The moment Lucy reached out asking if I’m free to shoot their back garden wedding at her parents home in the Cotswolds, I knew it will be one for the books.
It was one of those weddings where everyone comes together and gets involved offering a helping hand making all the DIY dreams come true. Starting with the rustic details for a reception, honest and delicious food, the most gorgeous foliage and flowers by the talented maid of honour & florist The Allotment Florist, finishing with the most original wedding transportation – red vintage Porsche tractor. How cool is that?!
If that’s not enough, the family house quite possibly beats any other at home weddings I’ve seen before. Absolutely stunning and a perfect setting for a relaxed rustic back garden wedding celebration.
Now, if we go back to the beginning.
The day started with a gorgeous sunny September morning, girls getting ready in the house sipping bubbles and buzzing with excitement. Wearing all-white and espadrilles paired with flower crowns, it couldn’t be a better choice for a summery garden wedding in the countryside. Lucy looked absolutely breathtaking in Grace Loves Lace and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride more suited for the Inca gown (which is also my all-time favourite wedding dress)!
Conveniently, the church where Lucy and Andre got married is just up the driveway and bride’s dad was giving her way which perhaps is a long known tradition, but that moment I saw the girl at her most beautiful, most emotional and most happy.
I have to say that I absolutely loved the ceremony, the gospel choir, the clapping and singing, the energy which continued into the party throughout the rest of the day. The cherry on top, they had the cutest ring bearer – Arky, Lucy & Andre’s Hungarian Vizsla.
I could continue swooning over this wedding for years to come, but I let you enjoy it too because truly, it is so amazing!
Thank you so much, guys, for choosing Virginia Photography document your gorgeous back garden wedding in the Cotswolds, I loved every single moment of it!
